Welcome to the
Northeast Florida Model Railroaders

Good news. After 4 years of searching we have a new home for our modules, temporarily at least. Search continues for a home when we must vacate our current one.

About Us

We are a group of dedicated individuals promoting the history and education of railroading. Modeling the world in miniature can be quite challenging. We've taken great pride and joy in entertaining thousands of visitors exhibiting our HO scale modules over the years. Our trains operate with the latest DCC technology. Come join us in the fun and thanks for visiting our site.
As stated in the Location section below the module layout needs a permanent new home.
We are an IRS code 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Location

We constructed an extensive HO layout for the residents of Moosehaven, a retirement community in Orange Park, FL. After 26 years of nuturing the layout, the building which housed it was scheduled for demolition. Btw, the building still stands.

On March 1, 2008 an old M-5 ACL caboose donated by CSX and staged beside the layout building for more than 20 years, was moved to St. Marys RR for restoration and will be placed in service.

On September 30, 2015 the module layout was removed from the Reynolds Industrial Park warehouse. We are looking for a new space for our modules.

We appeal to the local community for a new home for our HO modular layout.
Request any interested parties contact us at info@neflamodelrr.org

Meanwhile, starting Sep 23, 2019 we found a temporary home for our modular layout located at 518 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park. It's unknown exactly how long we will occupy the space, however, our landlord assures us at least three months.

Meeting time and location

Our business meeting is held at 2 pm on the 1st Sunday each month at a location determined by the BOD. An advisory email is sent to all members.

Module Show Schedule

For 19 years we exhibited our modules over a weekend in January in Savannah, GA. The 2014 show may have been our last. Presently there are no scheduled shows. The header on this homepage will announce local open house dates and other events.
